About Our Groups + Workshops

Workshops

We run different workshops for gay and bisexual men that give you the chance to talk and learn about being gay, sex and sexual health, HIV, relationships, the gay scene and community and other issues that may concern you. Getting involved in our workshops allows you to meet other gay and bisexual men and learn a lot of new information at the same time.

Our workshops run for one evening per week for a series of weeks (usually four to six weeks), and we hold them at the ACON offices in central Sydney.

Getting Together
A workshop giving you the chance to learn about the community, the scene, HIV and sexual health, sex, communication and much more. >
Cruising 101
This workshop is for men who use (or want to use) saunas or sex clubs. >
Arse Class
Explore ways to look after your arse, how to have fun with your arse and someone else's and the anatomy of arses, plus loads of tips on anal sex and sexual health. >
Better Sex
Find out about giving good head (get rid of that annoying gag reflex!), anal pleasure and health, sex toys and adventurous play, how and where to get the kind of sex you want, intimacy and communication. >
Looking For Mr Right
If you're looking for a boyfriend, are sick of the singles scene and want to enhance your communication skills, learn about dating do's and don'ts and how to improve your sexual health, this is the workshop for you! >
Group Action
This workshop is for men who have or are interested in having group sex. >
It Takes Two
This workshop is for men who are currently in relationships. >
Volunteer Facilitator Training
All our workshops are facilitated by fully trained volunteer facilitators.
If you think you'd be suitable as a volunteer facilitator, contact ACON for information. Volunteer training is usually conducted once every 18 months. >
Workshops for men aged 26 years and under
The Fun&Esteem Project at ACON runs a number of different workshops for young gay, bisexual and other same sex attracted men. Start Making Sense (under 26yrs), School's Out (under 18yrs), and Adult Themes (18-29yrs). >
