There are a range of reasons why gay and bisexual men in relationships might continue to get tested with their partner. These include:

• They want the piece of mind that testing provides
• They can't agree on a set of guidelines for the sex they have within and/or outside of their relationship
• They're only in the early stages of their relationship
• They're experiencing problems in the relationship
• Either or both cant trust the other to be honest about potential risks
