Lack of interest or desire for sex

Not being interested in sex for a period of time is one of the most common difficulties experienced by gay men. Research shows that about 50% of gay men have ever experienced this problem. Sometimes this problem stems from the simple fact that many gay men feel that they should be up for sex all the time, when the reality is that sometimes we might just not want to have sex.

If you feel like it’s a deeper issue than that, or if it’s a longer term problem, the best thing is to see a doctor or counsellor. These professionals can help to sort out with it is a psychological, emotional or physical issue.
